Bio

I create art as a vehicle to express myself and as a mirror reflecting society, pictured through my own life experiences. Just like fantasy belongs to our minds, to me art means a way to let this fantasy come alive dressed up in colors and forms to appear on the world’s stage.

I use art as a way to reveal the other side of consciousness: the mysteries of the human mind where sinister feelings and pleasures are often bound with each other. In this landscape of uncertainty, identity stands out to me drawing a clear triangle between Gender, Art and Identity.

As a woman, I am deeply interested in studying the way present and past women artists have expressed themselves through art in a world that has been historically patriarchal; and where they have been considered as “Others”. Being a woman is a fact that also determines my own life existence, which I express through my artwork, combining both uncanny hidden fears and a critical ironic thinking.
